Saturday - 3p.m. - It all comes down to the sound of the whistle…

Come 3pm tomorrow afternoon and Cellino's 'Rivoluzione Gloriosa' will finally hear the referee's whistle at Milleall's The Den. One player not taking part is new signing Tommaso Bianchi who carries over a suspension from his time in Italy. Rumours abound inside Elland Road that RB Sam Byram has expressed a desire to play in the Premiership (with Sunderland, West Bromwich Albion and Southampton all reportedly interested in Byram's services. The vultures are circling around, with ST Matt Smith and CM Luke Murphy being the ones reportedly attracting interest from other Championship club

Whatever team Leeds scramble together and whoever runs out of the tunnel, Leeds fans are expecting a positive result from what has designated as one of Leeds' 10 next easy games.

Leeds have a good opening day record and over the past 14 season openers boast a return of 11 wins, 1 draw and 2 defeats. The problem, tomorrow lies with the opposition Millway; who Leeds have recently found hard to gain a result against. Indeed, in the last 8 Championship fixtures, Leeds United record against Millwall is not very encouraging with these 8 games showing a return of 3 wins against 5 losses.

Add to this another ‘signing’ falling through, with Danish centreback Frederik Sørensen now not signing from Juventus, and it seems that once again Leeds fans are doing what they have relied on for the last few seasons. Come 15.00 and the sound of that whistle and Leeds’ loyal fans will be praying for sunshine and hoping beyond all hopes that the bright start last season is repeated this season and that, unlike last year, it doesn’t just peter away and end up like the second half of their 2013/14 Championship campaign.

Forza Leeds, forza la rivoluzione gloriosa
